The WSIAT has published a new Guide to the Responsible Use of Generative AI in WSIAT Proceedings.
The Guide outlines the WSIAT’s expectations for the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence by parties and representatives in Tribunal proceedings. It explains how existing responsibilities apply when generative AI tools are used to prepare or present a case, including responsibilities related to accuracy and human oversight, confidentiality, transparency, and accountability. Parties and representatives remain responsible for the content and conduct of their case, whether or not they use generative AI tools.
The Guide is available through the WSIAT’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use at the WSIAT page, together with information about the Tribunal’s broader approach to artificial intelligence, including the WSIAT AI Governance Framework.
We encourage parties and representatives to review the Guide when considering the use of generative AI in connection with a WSIAT proceeding. Please Contact Us if you have any questions or concerns.
