Wednesday October 1, 2025, is the WSIAT’s 40th Anniversary!
On October 1, 1985, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) opened its doors as the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal.
Forty years later, this anniversary offers a moment of reflection, to consider the distance we have travelled and to thoughtfully prepare for the road ahead.
The WSIAT is commemorating its 40th Anniversary with celebrations throughout the year, with October 1st recognized as the official anniversary date.
