The Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) is pleased to share its 2026–2028 Business Plan. The annual business plan outlines the Tribunal’s strategic direction as we continue to modernize our services and strengthen the way we support workers, employers, and representatives across Ontario.
The 2026–2028 Business Plan reflects the WSIAT’s efforts to provide high-quality, fair, and timely adjudication in accordance with the principles of natural justice, while continuing to improve key performance targets, including reducing the time to first offered hearing date, timely completion of appeals, and timeliness of decisions.
In the coming years, the WSIAT will advance initiatives that support access to justice and service excellence, strengthen transparency and plain-language communication, expand outreach and awareness efforts, and modernize how we work. The Tribunal’s budget reflects its commitment to achieving these goals within the parameters of fiscal prudence, supporting a modern, responsive tribunal focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
