Governance Framework Document
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) is committed to the transparent, responsible, and accountable use of artificial intelligence (AI).
To support this commitment, the WSIAT has established an AI Governance Framework that outlines how AI systems will be evaluated, implemented, and monitored within the organization. The Framework establishes clear requirements to ensure that AI is used in a way that protects people and data, preserves public trust, and responsibly manages risk.
The Framework was developed in alignment with the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Responsible Use of AI Directive, and reflects the WSIAT’s role as an adjudicative tribunal.
